Ever wondered where they came up with the idea of the name for the month of august?
It was originally named after the famous Roman emperor Augustus
It was originally born Gaius Octavius and he was the Grand nephew of Julius Caesar which later in many texts was known as Octavian then after 31 BC when he defeated Marc Anthony and the Cleopatra he was given the name Emperor which is the honorary title of Augustus
